Weekend Workshop / Food, Body, Belief

Weekend Workshop / Food, Body, Belief

with Emily Hyland + Carolyn Shayte, MA LPCC
In Studio
Friday - Sunday, November 13-15
Friday 5:30 - 8:00pm | Saturday & Sunday 2:00 - 6:00pm

So many of us have complex, challenging, and often painful relationships with food and our bodies—relationships that deserve thoughtful exploration. What are the narratives & beliefs you've developed surrounding these issues? How can you process & meet yourself where you are? Join counselor & art therapist Carolyn Shayte (LPCC ATR), & mindful movement teacher & poet, Emily Hyland for a weekend to uncover how we've been defined by food, shame, conditioning, family of origin, & other factors. Expect a safe inquiry-oriented environment with circle work & art therapy led by Carolyn, and process writing & movement led by Emily. This fall weekend will focus on food narratives, and the spring intensive will focus on body narratives. This will be a group-oriented container for participants to dive into deeper work around these uncomfortable, & often hidden, unconscious subjects in order to move forward with a clearer heart & greater sense of self worth.
