YOGA IMMERSION & ADVANCED TEACHER TRAINING

300 Hour Training

Deepen Your Practice.
Refine Your Teaching.

The YogaSource 300-Hour Advanced Teacher Training is designed for teachers who are ready to move beyond foundational instruction & develop a more informed, skillful, & authentic approach to teaching yoga.

The program is divided into three primary modules, led by Wendelin, Amy, & Emily. Each faculty member brings a distinct area of expertise, teaching perspective, & approach to practice. Together, the three modules create a comprehensive course of study that supports both the technical craft of teaching & the deeper responsibilities of being a yoga teacher.

Through advanced practice, inquiry, mentorship, & hands-on application, participants will deepen their understanding of asana, anatomy, sequencing, philosophy, meditation, pranayama, accessibility, cultural context, & the art of teaching.

Our approach is grounded in the Krishnamacharya lineage while remaining responsive to contemporary understandings of movement, nervous-system regulation, strength, accessibility, & inclusive teaching. We honor yoga as a living tradition—one that extends far beyond physical postures & asks us to examine how we practice, teach, lead, & participate in the world.

A DEEP, EXPERIENTIAL DIVE INTO:

  • Advanced asana, functional anatomy, biomechanics, & movement

  • Intelligent sequencing & curriculum development

  • Meditation, pranayama, & subtle-body practices

  • Yoga philosophy, history, ethics, & cultural context

  • Inclusive, accessible, & trauma-aware teaching

  • Strength, mobility, stability, & sustainable movement

  • Observation, communication, demonstration, & hands-on teaching skills

  • Adapting practices for different bodies, abilities, ages, & life experiences

  • The teacher–student relationship, professional ethics, & responsible leadership

  • Developing an authentic teaching voice & a sustainable path as a teacher

  • Emily Hyland

Emily teaches grounded, strong, stretchy classes designed to help students “bring forth what is [already] within” them. In addition to yoga, Emily also teaches strength training as a vital component of staying healthy, resilient, & connected to one’s physical potential.

Her classes focus on making the choice to be mindful: to tune into—& invest in—relationships with body, mind, & breath as opportunities to inquire into deeper levels of awareness & build intimacy with ourselves, each other, & the gift of each moment in this astonishing world. Whether through mindful asana or intentional strength work, her approach centers the holistic integration of strength, mobility, & awareness. Expect welcoming energy, warm community, poems, joy & levity (at least one bad dad joke per class).

Hyland completed her 200-hour certification at Yogamaya in 2012, along with 75 hours of advanced therapeutics training, & has studied Yin yoga with Corina Benner. She’s currently completing her 300-hour certification with Jason Crandell. She is also an ACE certified group fitness instructor & personal trainer.

Her newest poetry collection, My Wise Little Ghost, was published through Trio House Press in July 2026; she is also the author of Divorced Business Partners: A Love Story (2024) & Emily: The Cookbook (2018), with a third collection, BREASTS, forthcoming from Cornerstone Press in 2027. Hyland is also the co-founder of the international restaurant groups Pizza Loves Emily and Emmy Squared Pizza. Learn more: emilyhyland.com / emmysquaredpizza.com / pizzalovesemily.com

  • "My YogaSource YTT experience was genuinely life-changing, giving me new, embodied ways to serve my community, deepen my psychotherapy practice, and widen the scope of what I offer. I’m especially grateful for teachers who grounded our training in cultural awareness, yoga’s history, philosophy and ethics, and trauma-informed practice, and for the entirely new path and community it opened for me, both as a practitioner and a teacher. "

    — Erin Doerwald, LCSW, CMT-P, RYT-200

  • "YogaSource’s teacher training was such a beautiful and transformative experience for me. I grew in ways I didn’t expect, and feel like I truly blossomed into a version of myself I had been gently working toward for a long time. The technical teachings around alignment and practice were incredibly precise and invaluable, while the instructors brought so much compassion, warmth, and knowledge to every part of the training. I’m so grateful for the experience and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to deepen their practice or explore the path of teaching."
