EMMA MATTHIES

Emma began practicing yoga at a young age as a complement to competitive gymnastics and ballet. Since then, she's explored a wide range of styles—from strong vinyasa flow to slower, more introspective kundalini—and completed her 200-hour teacher training at Sangha Studio in Burlington, Vermont in 2018. Emma’s classes are rooted in the idea that how you move your body is deeply connected to how you experience your life. She weaves together strength, flexibility, and breath with simple, intentional themes—designed to help you shift patterns, build awareness, and feel more at home in your body. Her flows are both grounding and challenging, with an emphasis on helping students step out of their heads and into a more embodied experience. You can expect to leave class feeling clearer, steadier, and more connected.

Outside the studio, Emma is also a health and mindfulness writer who loves exploring the connection between movement, energy, and everyday life.
