Emily's teachings are informed by many years of practice and self-inquiry. She has been fortunate to study with teachers from different Yogic traditions (Sivananda, Kripalu, Integral Yoga, Iyengar) as well as study with various teachers in the Vipassana tradition. As a Vipassana practitioner, Emily has a reverence for silence and encourages students to pause; and to pause long enough to hear stillness. Clear, concise language and a deeply held space support students in her classes to find strength from asana and heart. Like a forest deer looking into the trees, Emily watches the ebb and flow of student's hearts and spirits while offering guidance as they move through the forms of asana, helping to uncover their inherent wholeness. Emily received her 200hr certification from YogaSource in 2015 and is registered with Yoga Alliance.
